A few pickers at auction Sept. 26th

My neighbor is an avid farm tractor and equipment collector and he's decided to auction off some of his stuff. According to the sale bill he will have a NI 2 row picker (no clue if it is mounted or pull type) and also a Dearborn 1 row picker. I will be consigning my JD 237 picker as well. It's the same one I've posted pictures of on this forum. I've used it to pick a couple acres last fall and this summer. It works well. The husking rolls are worn and miss some ears. The bottom of the wagon elevator has about a square foot rusted out where it sat in the dirt before I bought it. I hope to have this patched up by then. In spite of that it has worked well for me. The reason I'm letting it go is because I may have the chance in the future to buy the actual picker my JD 60 was paired up with back in the 50's & 60's. Also currently with 3 young children I just don't have the time for it I thought I would.

I'm also consigning my JD PTO corn binder. I have not had it running since I bought it but everything is there and is very free and loose. It was used in a sorghum operation many moons ago then was stored under a tin roof for probably 40-50 years. I've begun to replace many of the grease zerks and it will come with 2 balls of smaller diameter binder twine I bought brand new. I have to get pics taken and sent off to the auctioneer and hopefully in the near future they will get then posted online. Wears Auctioneering out of Solon, IA has the sale. I will post a link.

I will most likely be there as its only 15-20 miles for me. I bought Jerrys Super WD9 last fall.

Was there from 9:30 to 10:30 or so and then went to another sale. Not exactly sure the prices are correct but close I think.

237 brought $400 Will be staying local

Binder brought $50

Massey Harris ensilage cutter $225

Dearborn 1 Row pulltype $80

Both New Ideas were wide row pulltypes and around 50 each. sounds like they will probably be for sale at some point.

The binder and ensilage cutter will probably be stored at my place. and Dearborn in the shed down the road.
