This warm/hot weather is killing my JD 2520 with a New Idea 319 mounted picker! I can only pick one or two loads before it starts to get too hot and I have to quit for awhile and let things cool off. What I need is a set of the tall screens that mount in place of the square screens on each side of the tractor. New Idea made a set for these tractors but I have never seen a set anywhere. JD also made a set for use with the 227 & 237 pickers. But there are 2 different JD sets - one set is exclusively for the 2510/2520 tractors and the other is for the 3010-3020-4010-4020 tractors. So if anyone out there has a set of these they would be willing to sell, let me know. Thanks a lot!
i have a set of screens off a 237 i don't know which ones they are. one has a dent but little rust also have the short er screens but they are rusty. let me know how to tell the difference and ill check them out.
I modified the ones I had for the 3020-4020 tractors and they worked OK. I'm not going to put the picker on the 2520 anymore - the cooling system is just too small to be restricted by a mounted picker and still keep the engine cool enough. I'm going to get a 3010 or early 3020 to mount the picker on. They have a larger cooling system.
