Poured pillars today to set a Cowin Cornsaver crib on. Hope to have crib set on pillars Friday morning. Don't know much about the manufacturer other than they were built in Minneapolis, MN. Find it hard to believe they were not more common on account of their sloped bottom making them easy to empty. At...

I was reading through the August 2013 Farm Collector magazine and saw some Minnesota wagons that looked familiar. Low and behold it was fellow forum member KA656s wagons. Great article, a must read. Congrats Kirk! Jim

How can I tell when my ear corn is dry enough to pick so it will keep in my crib? The first year I picked it too early and got a bit of mold on it, last year I picked it too late and the birds and deer ate most of it in the field. Short of a moisture meter, I read somewhere where you can weigh a few ears then dry them in a...

I have seen some pictures of a ear corn spreader that Behlen made for there cribs. I wanting to add that to mine. I want to remove the huskers on my 601 ford picker and use it to pick sweet corn. I guess it must be my lucky day. I got a call about another mounted picker and went to look at it, turns out I had seen it before. Hi, I've got a couple of questions about mounting a John Deere 237 on a Late A JD. Ok, looking for an alternative to the mounted picker idea. What would be the best picker for my Late-Styled John Deere "B"? Where I'm likely going to be using it is slightly hilly, not too steep but definitely sloping. I like the JD 101, but availability and practicality are kinda slim. Nev...
