I've got two of these machines and would have to agree that they certainly are back savers. The toughest part of using one is getting the darn thing in the crib!
We never had one of those back when I was growing up - I guess Dad figured he had 2 boys who could keep the sheller full with corn rakes. I'd still like to have one now even though I only shell every 2 or 3 years.
dad said he used something similar to this during the ear popcorn days and he agrees the battle was half won after you accomplished getting the thing in the crib!
I have a Power Rake sitting in the barn that I would like to sell. I got it a number of yrs ago. It's complete but needs to have someone getting it running again. I don't think it will take much, rebuild carb and such. I am in NW IL
What I have looks just like the photos above. In about the same condition as above, but has not run in a number of yrs. I would like to get $200 for it.
