This was sometime in the late 60's , If ya look on the elevator, there is two well casings that has pig irons in them, Grandpa hung them up there to help lighten up the front of the picker, he also ran a single front wheel so it would slide through the mud. He also ran rice tires on the back too.
That's a scene I remember from my own childhood, we used to take the Roll-O-Matic off the tractor and put the straight tricycle pedestal on every fall. It had 6.00x16" tires on it, they were skinnier and "cleaned out" a bit better.
Picking in the late fall before the ground froze with a damp, cold, wind in your face makes you really appreciate a combine with a cab!
