I am looking for a ford 601 to mount on a ford 2810 this is my first posting on the forum I'm from northeast ga we raise purebred Berkshire hogs Im planning on planting a few acres of corn next year to help with the feed the land I have lined up are mostly small fields that's why Im thinking mounted picker I had the land limed back during the summer per soil test recommendations and had two loads of hen litter put out per acre this fall so I'm pretty deep in already now I'm wondering if ill find a picker I'm looking for all the info on the ford pickers you guys can share the ins outs good bad and ugly I'm planning on planting on 30 in rows with two John deere 71 flexi planters mounted on a 3pt tool bar I read somewhere that the ford pickers were pretty pouplar in north ga back in the day but I have a good truck and trailer and will travel for one I also have WD allis I could widen my rows and mount a two row on if there anything out there that could b mounted on it but I think I want a 601 ford I thought about a gleaner k combine but I don't really want a combine for no more than I'm doing and I have a sheller so i think the ear corn route is the way to go Thanks Kip
