Supposedly after White took over MM the 1210 shellmaster was offered to Oliver dealers with green paint . . . I've seen a toy based on one, but have never seen a picture of a real one, nor literature for one. There were also a few red White 1210 shellers near the very end (1973-74?).
Here's some info I pulled off the YT website archives. The Oliver version of the Shellmaster sheller was a model 210. I'm just passing on what I found but I can't vouch for it authenticity. I'll also attach a photo of one that I found there.
The sheller is the same as a MM 1210. MM made shellers in batches of 500, and have been told they only made one batch painted Oliver green. (The drags were all painted yellow due to the large stock pile they had already painted yellow.) There is a picture of them in an early sixties Oliver buyers guide. The ones I have seen up close, they cut the top of the serial number tag off to only show the serial number, and not the MM name plate. As I have been told, but do not have any proof, in the end they made one batch of White (red) shellers in Hopkins, and then a few years later a batch of 200 red shellers were produced out of a welding shop for White. These were the worst, cheeper metal, and nothing seemed to fit together since most of the parts were hand made and forced together.
I have seen two of the White shellers, one at the HUGE junkyard west of Tekamah, Nebraska, and the second, and in really good condition, and had been shedded, at the consignment sale in Carrol, Iowa.
jdtom, that is what I wrote a few years ago. I am glad you posted it. I have seen two in my life, and let one pass through my fingers! I would love to find one as I am still custom shelling with a MM1210. I have a late one of 200 made WHITE 1210's sitting in the shed. I don't know if I want to collect all the shellers, but would love to find an OLIVER 210!
I took a bunch of pictures of one, and if I run across them I will try to post them.
210 was the number given to the truck mounted shellers, (info found in the owners manual) and apparently to the OLIVER'S.
