Allied, Speed King, and late model New Idea elevator and grain auger parts

I recently discovered that My-D-Han-D is still building new elevators and grain augers and that they are advertizing replacement parts for Allied, Speed-King and late model New Idea elevators and augers. http://www.mydhandsales.com  I thought it might be useful info to pass along.

Their flight elevator looks a lot like a New Idea - did they buy the design from New Idea when they discontinued making them?

I've seen Allied elevators that looked like New Idea as well.  Speed King and Allied augers also look a lot like the old New Idea augers . . . so who was building what for whom and when I don't know.

I was browsing through their owners manual for the elevator and there are a few pictures in there that still show the New Idea emblem on the side of the elevator. Guess that answers that question!
