Another corn picker road trip

Well Kevin and I have done it again we managed to go on another road trip to pick up another of his purchases this time it was an Oliver #73 picker with the sheller attachment and an Oliver barge box wagon In Shickley Nebraska. The picker and wagon are in VERY GREAT shape and we got them loaded without any great incidents. So I thought I would share a few pictures with the rest of the forum enjoy.

Nice load you have there! Is the running gear under the barge box Oliver also?

Yes the running gear under the box is an Oliver running gear. Everywhere that we stopped we had lookers and "gawkers" and they wondered where we had came across the equipment and could not believe the great shape that it was in.

Charlie, glad you and Kevin had another great trip.  The picker and wagon looks really good, hard to find equipment in that condition anymore.  Nice find Kevin

Charlie, your doing a great job with your pictures.  Thanks for posting them.

Wow, that looks like some really nice stuff!  Could I just hire you to find me the pickers I'm looking for?

You can tell that the previous owner believed in taking care of his equipment. Honestly, the picker/sheller and the wagon are better looking in their original paint, than they would ever be, if restored.

You done good.

How did you find out about them?

Thats nice stuff. Now if there was a decent inexspensive way of drying down shelled corn on a small farm would be great.

Yes it was a very good trip ! It was two nice pieces that are what they said they are !

The running gear is a Electric as Oliver used them alot for their gears and had then contracted to make boxes for them !

That Charlie has turned out to be a great find himself as to helping and taking pictures !

He would contract out for a fee!

With meeting some of you and being on here has been great fun! So Thank You!!!!
