New to forum--New Idea questions.

I've been visiting here for a while, I just joined today.  Brought home a New Idea 305 with a 307 husking bed yesterday.  I've picked quite a bit of corn, but all with Oliver (#5 and #6) and Wood Brothers (16-4) pickers.  Can anyone bring me up to speed on New Ideas?  Does anyone have any manuals for sale for these two units.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  BTW, it was on a Farmall M, I'm going to mount it on a Case 700.

I have a New Idea 319 Gathering Unit, 320 8-roll Husking Unit, 322 12-roll Husking Unit, 315 Sheller Unit and 317 Grinder Unit of my own. So if you have any questions about these, just ask! I also have several of these parted out so if you are in need of some cheap used parts, let me know.

Since you are new to this site, take some time to browse thru the older posts here. I'm sure you will find many interesting topics and you will probably have some of your questions about New Idea picking equipment answered as well. There are many awesome pictures to look at too. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome, guys. It'll be nice to not have neck strain from watching the snapping rolls, although eating the dust and chaff is no picnic. I've really enjoyed reading the posts and looking at the pictures. We picked a few acres this fall with my IH 606 and #5 Oliver, the we switched out the 606 for my friend's 530 John Deere. It was still way better than my old D-14 Allis with an Oliver #6 on a wobbly 3-pt adapter.
