Does anyone still have standing corn in their area?

Here in east central Indiana, we still have probably about 1/3 of the corn still standing in fields, waiting to dry down. Many farmers were waiting for drydown and also were slowed by wet corn at bins and elevators' ability to handle it. My next door neighbor has 27% moisture corn. Rain yesterday halted harvest.

I have a couple acres yet to pick this weekend if the weather stays fair. It is predicted to get colder this weekend, might be time to put the heat houser on.

I live in NE Illinois where there is plenty of corn still in the fields. I deliver a rural mail route North and NE of Sycamore IL I'm guessing there is well over 1/3 of standing corn in the fields. Good luck harvesting your corn. I hope to pick more corn this weekend.

I still have 30 acres to pick.  Unseasonably warm here, and with rain every few days, that farm stays muddy.  Too easy to get stuck in those fields.  Supposed to get below freezing next week, 3 cold days with help I'll be done.

I finished up my corn when I got back from Walnut.  I'm saving 4 ac. to pick with the picker but the ground is going to have to freeze to get into this field.  The deer doing a good job of havesting the end rows, might just have 2 ac. to pick.

There is a little corn in the field around here but you would have to go look for it.  On the way up to Walnut I seen a lot of corn in the field on Mo. side and Il. side.

Most of the corn is out in southwest Iowa, but there is enough left to keep busy. At least four combines were running within two miles of us this weekend, and a lot of folks still baling up cornstalks. Our ear corn is picked, with a minimum of trouble. We were within 10 acres of finishing the shell corn last night when the combine decided it didn't want to be out in the snow. The mechanic said half a day, so we should be able to knock it out today (cold but sunny) before the real heavy stuff hits tomorrow. Our moisture has been in the 16s, but two neighbors are combining and drying 20% stuff. What a year...

Finally got my last few acres picked. They are predicting 2-3 inches snow for this weekend. I would say in our county now about 95% of the corn is harvested. The elevators caught up and dryers also.
I took a couple pictures, will try to get those put up. I used the 3010D (with heat houser), the 325 2 row, and a couple of J&M 175 bu. wagons. When I first started out in the field, I went five feet into the corn, then the first elevator snapping roll area slip clutch went off. An ear of corn had wedged crossways. Pulled it out and away we went, no further trouble. Started sprinkling, but boy did that help it pick clean.  It felt good to set by the woodstove that night after I finished up.

I'm still working on mine . . .

12 acres of wet spots still.  Broke a spindle on one of the tractors, which messed things up. Ground froze finally, then it snowed 8 inches!!! I might still be done before Christmas.

Still quite a bit in the field around here (SE Nebraska) - and tons of corn in open piles at the elevators.
