There should be a lot of 343's out your way real cheap. I got $1800 for mine recently and was real happy to get that much. Put a wanted ad in WI farmer, the Land or IA farmer and you'll get a lot of calls.

There probably aren't as many out there as you think. My uncle was looking for a 343 a couple of years ago and he had to hunt awhile before he found a good one. In this part of the country a lot of the small JD corn heads (243, 244, 343, 344) have been cannibalized for the row units. They are then used for building 20 or 22-inch corn heads
