John Deere 300 picker

Hello All,  I have a question about john deere 300 pickers.  I have found a 300 with a 2 row wide head but need a 3 row narrow.  How much work is it to convert to the 3 row and are the heads for the 300 common with any of the combine heads?  Also what price should I expect to be looking at for a 300 with a 3 row head?

Thanks John.

Hi John I might know of a head for your picker , if you want me to look into it? He might want to trade you for his head and you two could just swap!

Hello. I have a 3 row narrow for sale and also the bearing support you need to switch from 2 row wide to 3 row narrow. The 300 john Deere did use the same heads as the John Deere combines. Call me anytime 815-761-3709. Take care, Bob

THE ONLY 3 ROW HEAD YOU CAN PUT ON A JD 300 IS A 343 HEAD. YOU CAN PICK THEM UP FOR 1000.00 TO 2500.00 FOR A GOOD ONE. THE ONLY OTHER THING YOU WILL NEED TO PICK WITH A 3 ROW HEAD IS A COUPLE OF VERY BIG GRAVITY BOXES.THEY TEND TO FILL UP PRETTY QUICK WITH THAT RIG.
