Pic of NI mount type picker

Here are some pics of the picker I bought. I took them in the dark. When I get better ones I will post them.

Looks like it is pretty much complete and usable. 305 Gathering unit and a 308 Hopper Elevator unit, correct? I wish I could find one of those hopper units up here closer to Minnesota - I've been looking for one for over a year now! I have all of the other attachments for it.

Yes you are right it is a 308 h. unit . I have had 2 of thes pickers the first one i sold to a buddy of mine . I didn't have atractor to put it on and he had a super M . We have always shelled all of our corn with a M Gleaner combine . I can sell some of the corn on the cob to deer hunters . I picked about 20 a.c. last year and they bought it as fast as i could pick it . I stombled on it when i went to buy 2 gravty wagons and seen it under the shed . He didn't have it for sale but he said he would . His father bought it new it still had the hopper unit on the WD 45 so we talked for 2 hours and i bought it for 300.00 . I couldn't belive i got it for that price he said i had to call him when i got it mounted he wanted see it .

Chris,
Did you find some brackets to mount it on the Case 400? I was looking thru my parts book for these pickers and the axle mounts for a WD-45 are completely different that the ones for the Case. I don't have any Case mounts but if you are needing most any other parts for the 305 gathering unit, let me know what you are looking for.  I have one parted out here and the parts prices are right (cheap!)

Chris,

There are usually several parts books for sale at any given time on ebay (look thru the ebay stores as well as the auctions). The one I have is Repair Parts List No. P-50.  This one has the parts lists for all of the gathering units (along with the tractor mounting bundles, which is what you want), as well as all of the husking beds, grinder, shellers and snapper elevator. It's really handy to have if you want to work on these things. As for model years, the 305 was in the early to mid-1960's and the 319 was after that thru the 1970's. I'm not sure exactly when the stopped making the mounted picker but it was probably the late 1970's. By then they just had the 12 roll husking bed and maybe the sheller still available for processing units.
