Question's

I'm not to smart about these corn picker things so I thought I would ask some of you to explain it all to me.
What exactly is a corn picker? Obviously it's something that picks corn, but how does it work, whats so special about it that makes people want to talk about it, what kinda tractors can you run it on??????

In advance, thanks.

Basically it takes the corn off the stalk, and husks it, not necessarily shell it. Can be mounted or pulled, depends on the model. I have a 234 picker that is mounted on my Farmall M and my dad has a NI 327 2 row picker that dad uses the 856 on because of the heathouser and the live PTO. Corn pickers are actually a lost piece of equipment that doesnt get much attention at all. Some of us are just tryin to get the public and collectors interested in it.
