Here is the link to my original post. http://cornpickers.activeboard.com/t40598638/our-38-f20-with-2me-picker/
Our wagon was on a sale last fall about 15 miles from home. All original except for about 2 or 3 tires. Washed it up and wiped her down with linseed oil this summer.
That wagon really is a nice find! So there were 2 of them at the sale you purchased it at? And it looks like there was a nice Electric flare box wagon as well......
I guess that was a die-hard IH farmer! And I like the custom-made sideboards with the V-neck to clear the corn picker elevator (lined with tin, no less!)
He must have had a stand-alone wagon hoist - I see no hydraulic hoist under those wagons.
Most farmers who owned barge and flare-box wagons back in the day had wagons made by short-line manufacturers such as Heider, Minnesota, Nu-Bilt or Electric (and many others....)

Yes the hoist we bought also. Its one that has two pipes that straddle the wagon tongue and has a hydraulic jack with a hook on it. The hook catches the loop on the front of the wagon. Yes there was a lot of very nice original equipment on the sale. We bought the 2MH picker on that sale for my now girlfriends dad.
