Antique Harvest Days reminder

Just a reminder about the Antique Harvest Days show that will be held October 9 and 10 just north of Ottumwa, IA off Exit 40 on Hwy. 149.  It sounds like the weather is going to be good but as always the show is "weather permitting".  For more information call 641-777-7202 or 641-680-2815.  There will be lots of corn pickers, combines, corn shellers and different kinds of elevators running, all of them old.  We hope you come and see the show.  Mike

Mike, on my way home from a plow day at Maxwell, I seen a lot of old equipment just south of the exit, is that the start of the harvest days?

I thought the corn field was north of the exit?

The corn and bean fields are north of the exit but the unloading place is south of the exit.  This is where you saw all of the machinery.  If you are coming it is best to unload at the south site and drive the quarter of a mile to the field.  Mike

Hey Joe.  There will also be plowing at the Harvest Days.  The normal place on the Des Moines river bottom was flooded and was unable to be plowed.  Mike
