picked some corn today


Wapsie Valley 85-day open-pollinated, planted May 18 . . . .
Still a little high in moisture but put it mesh sweetcorn bags on the roadside stand and the deer hunters are buying it . . . .
Earliest ever picking.

How about some pics of the picking outfit, until you start picking again. Wish I had some corn to shell with the combine, but only have soybeans this year. With the severe drought we've had, not sure if many of them are worth combining.

That's a good looking ear. Even some of the irrigated corn around here doesn't look that good this year. How many rows of kernels does it have? I have thought about using OP corn, but never have. What population do you plant? Where did you get the seed, and if I might ask, what was the price? Thanks for the pic.
