Hi Im fairly new to the site and just wanted to stop by and say hi. I ran across this forum on day in my hunt for more Wood Bros. picker parts. I have my grandpas two Wood pickers and two of my neighbors Wood pickers so I am hoping to be able to take 4 and build a good one this summer. Thanks for creating such a great site, it really helps a young guy like me to find out the information of machinery long retired by some. Thanks again Zach
Wood bros pickers were also popular in this area i think for their lighter weight and eaier pulling.I really never got to try the one we had because because it had deterioted . I always wondered about the rotating bar that assisted the snapping rolls in snapping ears off. The only problem i ever had with the older pickers in their shelling in the snapping rolls. but still love 'em.
