We're back - Oliver 74 Mounted Picker brochure

This has been a long time coming! My computer crashed a couple of weeks ago and I got it up and running again. But in the process I lost a lot of files and scanned pictures. Then when I reloaded the software to run my older HP printer/copier/scanner, the scanner wouldn't work anymore. So I ended up ordering a new printer/copier/scanner which arrived today. I got it set up tonite and the first test of the scanner is today's brochure for an Oliver 74 Mounted Corn Picker. Hope it comes thru OK. I'll try to get one or two more brochures posted by the end of the week and try to "catch up" on my brochure postings. Sorry for the dry spell - it's been pretty quiet here lately and these brochures seem to give us something to talk about!

Print number is A-543-25M

I glad your back and you got your computor up and going.  We have been having a time with our computor also.

Love this brochure and I know Kevin will like it also.  I cant believe how close the Oliver 74 and the IH 234 are in the way they mounts to the tractor.
Thanks Tom, Good brochure as allways and a lot to learn.

Actually, I can't believe how similar these pickers are to the New Idea 305/319 mounted pickers.  Look at the mounting subframe - very similar to the New Idea as well as the 2-prong mounting system for the rear processing units - just like a New Idea.

Glad to see that you're back in business again.  Question: Did Oliver use stripper plates in the late model 74 pickers?  I'll look for your replys next week as my son and I are leaving for Louisville today to attend the Machinery Show.  Thanks.

Glad to see you back Tom!

I knew a guy who had one of these. He had it mounted on an Oliver but it was a MM picker but had a spare picker that was an Oliver. I think he has since sold it.

I am also amazed on how similar they are to a New Idea.

Jim

Thank you Tom for this one as It hits right at home ! If you could make me a copy to have of that it would be great ! I do have four of these two in green and two in yellow !
I am looking for a shelling unit for them but have not had any luck ! Well maybe some one will read this and know where there is one or has one !

Keep up the GREAT JOB!!

If you have a color printer, drop me a note at tflitsales@myclearwave.net and I'll e-mail you the scans. Then you can print them off and have some copies for your use. I'll keep an eye out for a sheller attachment - it's possible ther may be one around this part of the country.
