If I had to guess I would say it's a 324 (wide) or possibly a 325 (narrow) gathering unit with a 329 sheller on the back.

Thanks for the quick response. I am going to take a look at the unit tomorrow. The seller is asking $500. In comparing the photos with other photos of similar units, it looks as if something is missing between the gathering unit and the PTO drive. I assume the husking bed goes between the two. Thanks again.

It doesn't look to me that there is anything missing but I might be wrong. This one wouldn't have a husking bed because it shells the corn off the cob. The husking bed is used to take the husk off and then the elevator sends the cob corn into the wagon.

Here is a link to a similar one on ebay. It is already at $879.00 and has 6 hours to go.

That does look like a 325 gathering unit with a 329 sheller. You can look on the bar that the front sheild is bolted on. There is a serial number tag about half way up. There are three boxes. The top one is the serial number. The bottom right is the lot number. The bottom left is the model number. It will say 324 or 325. That will tell you the model of the gathering unit. The serial number tag for the sheller is under where the chain(a double chain) that runs the sheller is. It looks the same as the gathering unit. Hope that helps also.

You're both correct. I bought it this morning. It is a narrow gathering unit with a 329 sheller. It looked to be in good condition with little wear showing on the sprockets or chains. The transfer cases are tight with no noticable wear. Same for the driveshaft. For $500, I'd say it's a good deal. Now to get it home! Thanks again for the help.

Good deal. Are you planning on using it very much? I've got a 325 gathering unit I bought on a sale in December. It had a grinder on it but also came with the husking bed. Then I found a 329 sheller at a dealership. It is brand new and has never been used. I am hopnig to put the sheller on the gathering unit and pick our 80 acres of corn with it. Good Luck.
