Shelling corn with a JD #71

Hello all. New to the forum, I have a question for you all. Can anyone tell me about a JD #71 sheller. Are these good machines and if so what is the capacity of them. Thanks in advance. John.

The 71 sheller is a good machine but slow, especially if you are used to a JD No. 6 or a 1200 or Model E Moline sheller. The 71 is about the same size as a Moline Model D, shelling about 300 bu/hr. I own one and about 7 years ago I shelled about 3700 bushels with it. Did a nice job and I could keep it full by myself when the corn was still running out of the crib. When I had to start scooping, I could keep it full for awhile but then I got tired and had to stop and take a break.
