I was thinking it would be nice to paint my new wagon. Just wondering if anybody knows paint numbers or color names to paint up the box. The running gear is ih So that will be the easy part. Also I think the hoist says Midwest. Anybody know what colors to paint that and what to do for the writing?image.jpeg

Fergie40,

I don't know the color for your DB wagon box. Could you find a chip to take in for a color match? Oliver green is too dark and I am not sure if JD green would be close enough. I have a Midwest hoist or two on some of my wagons. It is a decal and I don't know if any one produces them. But you could take a picture to a sign shop or a decal maker and have them make one for you.  Hmmm....now the brain is working a bit. I am going to take some pictures of the decals on my hoists and post them on here so other people can use them to recreate for their hoist restoration.

Hope to see some pictures of your David Bradley when it is done!!  It is a good looking wagon!!

I found an article on the internet about the David Bradley company. For the green paint on the garden tractor tires it said some people do 50% John Deere green paint and 50% John Deere yellow paint to get the right colors. Also I found a DuPont number. The green looks really bright but I would think they would use about the same green on all their equipment. I might just paint it like that for now. I might look for a paint chip under the wagon and see what I find also.

I contacted the company that used to make the Midwest hoists earlier this summer to see if I could get any paint information out of them, such as paint names or codes. They came up with nothing - I'm sure any persons that may have known something about this probably are retired for sure and probably have passed on by now.
