2MH questions

Started mounting a 2MH on a MD lastnight. Was originally mounted on a 400 I believe. Took a bit of jacking here and there and ratchet straps but we finally got it.

I have a feeling something isn't right. have a 3x8 cylinder as the book calls for. When picker is put in the down position the cylinder bottoms out before the front sets on the ground. And the ball socket rockers are tilted back hitting against the drawbar braces.

Is the linkage arm (from the lower lift arm back to the ball socket rockers) a different length from a 400 to a M/MD???

Don't have a pic handy yet. could scan one from the manual but would take a will to get it posted here.

I always thought that linkage was the same for all applications. Are you using the correct axle brackets for an M with a standard drawbar?

Well as far as I know we are. What is the difference in those an ones off a 400. Tje owners manual (1961) that I have doesn't show them very well.

The pivot pin goes through a clamp on bracket on the outside [as shown in your diagram] and through a hole at the top of the drawbar axle bracket on the inside. This drawbar bracket is specifically made for use with the 2MH picker.
