John Deere 18 corn picker

Here is our John Deere 18 corn picker. My dad wanted to buy this exact picker was it was brand new and a neighbor out the other ridge actually bought it before he did. It was the last one that dealer could get for the season. About 30 years later my dad bought it at his auction sale. It has never picked much corn in its life and this is the first time it has been out of the shed in 7 or 8 years. All original. Wondering what the value of something like this is?

Wow, I would love to have one! Never saw one around here, most pickers were mounted or 2-row pull type when I was younger.

Are most of the parts(snapping & husking rolls, etc.) the same as on a 227?

I could be wrong, but I don't think the parts are interchangeable. We haven't had to do anything with the picker except for a belt years ago. Not sure how hard parts would be to come by if a person did need something. More of a nostalgic piece of equipment now. Still fun to get out of the shed and rinse off, oil and run it awhile.
