Interesting picker photo

image.jpg

I came across this photo doing a random google search. It's a 1951 CJ3a "farm jeep" pulling a corn picker near bowling green ohio. I'll post the link if anyone wants to look at the history of the farm jeep.

I saw that or similar in an old farm magazine i collect.Lot of guys pulling motor powered hay balers with a jeep or pick up truck too. My 1969 IH 3/4 4x4 has a PTO shaft on it. The actually made a 3pt hitch for jeeps too.

You don't suppose that is a Ford picker mounted to the backend of a Jeep, do you?  That is pretty neat and clever how much function you could get out of a Jeep, back in the day.  Thank you for sharing!!

Thanks for posting. I would love to own a Jeep with a P.T.O. I have been on the trail of one locally but so far I have not been able to locate it.

I believe its a David Bradley 3 point picker. I found one just like it in a shed years ago but never did get the guy to let it go. They used it on an 8N Ford.
