Picking corn with 190 XT and Oliver 83 picker

Here is a video of me picking corn two days ago.  I usually pick enough corn for steer feed, but this year the weather didnt work out.  I left ten rows for deer and rabbit hunting and decided to take it off yesterday.  The corn had been knocked down from snow that we had in December.  I'm picking with a 190 XT and Oliver 83 narrow row picker.  Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing the video. Looks like it did a clean job of picking. Did the guy riding "shotgun" find anything to shoot at?

Only one rabbit.  The picker does a good job, but shells some.

It was a high of around ten. Not the most pleasant, but at least the wind wasn't blowing!

Nice to see some fresh picking !!! That shelling you will not get away from no matter what , but dry corn and cold corn it just falls off the cobb!!

Does your picker have knife rolls in it or spiral rolls ? I have a 83 just like yours but mine is a not a NR ,but it does have knife rolls .

Thanks for posting the video !!!

That is a great video.  I knew corn was high priced,  but I didn't realize one needed an armed guardsmilesmilesmile

It is very understandable about having a armed guard on the tractor to protect anyone from stealing a NICE OLIVER PICKER !!! biggrin
