New Idea 324 2RW Picker

I have made the decision to sell my dad's New Idea 324 2RW pull-type corn picker. I would like to keep it but I switched to 30" rows this year and can no longer use it. It was purchased new by him around 1974 and it has always been kept in the shed. It has the 8-roll husking bed and it also has a wagon elevator extension for filling large wagons (it is shown in the pictures but is not installed on the picker right now). He picked about 60-70 acres of corn a year with it for the first 10 years or so, then after that I don't think it has picked 100 acres total between now and the mid 1980's. I'm asking $850 for this picker. If you can use a wide-row picker, you would be hard pressed to find a nicer one. Call me (Tom) at 507-920-9474 if you are interested. Thanks!

UPDATE 11-9-2012 - The picker has been sold.

Boy, that's pretty. If I didn't already have four, I would "adopt" yours, too. That's a good price, at least for southwest/south central Iowa. I hope it gets a good home.

OK, it's now November and this picker is still here. I really don't want to bury it in the shed for the winter if I don't have to (but I'm not going to leave it outside all winter either) so I'm reducing the price. The first person who shows up with $500 CASH is going to own this very nice one-owner picker. I could really use the shed space and I can't use the picker myself any more since I went to 30" rows. I would like to see it go to a good home and get used once in a while so call me or send me a PM.
