Hello, Kevin. Looking forward to joining you and our other corn picker friends at the Reunion in Walnut. I plan on bringing the JD 200 corn picker and hopefully
one or two more pickers (haven't decided which ones yet). I will also bring the picker posters too. CornPickerBob

Good afternoon , just to give a little update before we get to the field , I walk the picking show corn this morning and was pleasantly surprised ,the part that was irritated which is ruffly 20 acres-and did a hand check was running about 197-215 and looked great .

The none irrigated corn I was happy with considering this years lack of rain and heat , my hand samples come up with 78 to 136 with every thing in-between , so over all not not bad .

Also to update a little we will be setting up on Thursday before the show and will open up the field .

The Rotary is starting serving bisque's and gravy at 7 am ,

operators meeting at 8.45 R1-02170-0004.jpgand the national anthem at 9 and a fly over to get us started !

children's corn box and hand shelling milking the cow

picking and shelling, stalk shredding till 11.30

will do some plowing at 10.30 till 12.30

lunch break11.30 for sheller`s and pickers

combining soybeans

picking and shelling again till 3

shredding and plowing starting again at 2

Picking demo of a 14 row Oxbo seed corn picker picking into the antique tractors & wagons on the go !!

more of the above to be filled out totally by picking time !!!

It is being filmed by High Yield Productions and copy's will be given to each operator that brings something to participate! Cpys can can be purchased by others . Aerial footage will be done by a helicopter !

Can I get a show of hands of people that might show or bring something to participate !!!!??????????????

Can contact me at 815-878-2524 Hope to see U here !!

That's a really neat aerial picture! I hope I can come someday but not going to work this year.

I am planning on being there Friday night-Saturday. I believe my dad will join along on the ride. I will not be bringing any picker-tractor-wagon-sheller with me. I just do not have the means to transport the toys.  Would being there Friday be better than being around on Saturday? I can only swing a one day stay.

We are planning on attending show with a JD 237 picker. We can bring it with either the 50 sheller or a elevator.   Any preference?

Even though I'm not planning on being there, I'd vote for bringing the sheller. Many people have not seen a 237 with the sheller attachment! (I had one years ago but I know I wouldn't mind seeing one again)

Planning on attending with the Ford 960 and the 2 row mounted picker. We really enjoy the show in Walnut and appreciate Kevin and his staff going to all the effort. Thanks Kevin.

Hey I also think that the sheller is the choice for here !! But there all good choices if your playing with your toys !!

Hope everyone is having good safe harvest !!!

That depends on the direction u are coming from on staying and directions . We are located on the North East side of Walnut off of RT 92, the show and my farmstead borders up against town so if you are coming in from the east two streets past the water tower is Rodney Ave their will be signs their And coming from the west come on RT 92 go three blocks pass the Shell gas station and turn left , their will be signs again !! Don't forget to sign in !!!

Hotels in Princeton ILL. and in Rock Falls ILL also in Mendota ILL and Dixon ILL. All are between 17 and miles from Walnut !!
