Here is what I'm looking at. I found a rectangular shaped crib. It is 72' long, 12' wide, and 12' to the roof trusses. I would just round the ears up from the walls, don't think the roof is made to go to the lid. I know the cubic feet of the building is 3455.6544 ft. I would like to know how many bushels of ear corn will fit. THANKS.
I believe for ear corn its the hieght X langth x width then divide by 2.5 cubic feet which is a bushel of ear corn.If my memory serves me correctly. lol
I just checked in my JD pocket book and another and either method will work. It came out the same either way.Cant believe all the shovelin i used to do. ANd loved every bit of it.lol
Thanks to everyone. I think I will pass on this crib. It was a wooden crib with 1x6 siding with 2" gap. It has however been tined over to keep the wood from rotting. Nice crib but I just dont think the ears would dry down. I have found some 14' x 14' round wire cribs. A guy I went to school with, his grampa has 5 or 6 of them all the same size.
I come up with 4147.2 ? 72 feet x 12 feet x 12 feet= 10368 Cubic feet x .4= 4147.2 Unless I am missing something?
