I own a Oliver # 73H (2 row wide row and a N.I. uni#701 power unit/3 row narrow corn head with husking bed. Also a #6 John Deere PTO corn sheller and a truck mounted Cook cornsheller. Is anybody else interested in cornshelling? Armand(What is advanced Editor?)

Yes indeed, there are still some of us around that enjoy the classic shellers. I also have a PTO driven #6 John Deere, a truck mounted #6, and a White (Minneapolis Moline) 1210 sheller.
I do too! I grew up picking most of our corn with a NI 324 2RW pull picker and then the following summer we shelled it all with a Model E Minneapolis-Moline sheller. The E sheller is gone but my love for shelling is not. I have since put together a collection of JD cornshellers - a 1B hand crank, a 4B belt-drive, a 43 PTO, a 71 PTO and a #6 PTO. I am currently working on a New Idea 319 mounted picker with a 322 12-roll husking bed - I should have these ready to use this fall so I can use some of my shellers again next summer. I also have a 315 sheller for the mounted picker and am working on some leads to get a 320 8-roll husking bed and a 317 mounted grinder for this picker. Then all I need to find is the 308 snapper elevator and I have the whole set! Then I can work on a putting together a collection of MM shellers!
I too have a 701 Uni with a 3 row head, 737 husking bed. It is a '68 model. I have a 71 JD sheller which I am working on to get fixed up and also 2 NI hand crank shellers. Corn shellers have always fascinated me, but evryone sold off theirs years ago,and I have never even seen a MM sheller around here. Also on the picker line, I have a MM brown mule uni with 2 row picker, an Oliver 83 with 12 roll husking bed, a NI 323 1 row, and a #10 1 row NI. Looking for some mtd. pickers around home, just working on the transport and storage issues.
I am located east of Muncie about 35 miles, 1 mile west of the Ohio line, 30 miles north of Richmond, EC IN. My handle of Superpicker comes from the fact that I am about 30 miles from Coldwater, OH - home of the former NI plant. I belong to the NI historic preservation club based out of Coldwater.
Hi all! I'm new to this site, too. I just happened to be doing a search to see if I could find any NI 2 row pull type pickers (with the elevator that sticks out the side) for sale, and stumbled across this neat forum. I'm also a corn sheller nut, as I just bought a 1949 Ford truck with a John Deere #6 sheller mounted on it, hope to haul it to the 2009 Half-Century of Progress show in Rantoul, Ill. to use. Also snagged on a belt-driven Red Cross sheller a few years back from the Tri-Green auction yard in London Ohio. BTW, I live close to Terre Haute, IN.
I would love to find a yellow (MM) or a red (White) 1210 Sheller if anyone knows of one. My dad ran a custom sheller in the 80's in N. IL. I found his old JD #6 on the Ford truck and can go get it anytime. I'd love to have a MM but dad's is more important at the moment.

Tony, you are missing the point, 10,000 bushel would be FUN!!!! I wouldn't mind setting up the 234 sheller and run that many bushel into it by elevator...
I just joined your forum. It is nice to have something just for corn pickers. I have a new idea one row that is still on my dad's place and hope to get here soon. I also collect John Deere corn shellers. I have a #1 and a 1915 #2 restored, hand crank. I have a D400 and D600 spring shellers that are belt driven. One of these will be parts for the other. I am thinking about restoring the D400 as it appears to be rarer than the D600. I also have a #5 cylinder sheller that I have just started working on. It seems to be very rare as I am having trouble finding much information on it.
The first picture is of the #2 that I first restored in the late 1980's. It was my grandfathers and the flywheel was only used on the 1915 model. The second is a #1 my father bought and I restored last year. The third is a D600, six hole machine, that I bought last year. I am going to restore it or it's little brother a D400, four hole. I do not have a picture of the #5 as it is in pieces.
I drove 16 hours to get a JD 71 corn sheller on Good Friday. We had some minor repairs to do on it before we used it. We just finished that up on last Saturday and gave it a test. I was impressed! That thing just eats ear corn, never grunted down our D15 which was powering it. We shelled about 100 bushels in about 30 minutes. Now we need to finish getting all the drags working. I used to have a JD 43, but this 71 is AWESOME!

We're still on the hunt for a good crib sheller. A MM or JD would certainly do.

You must have hauled that rig almost right by where I live - I can see I-90 from my place 2 miles west of Luverne, MN

I surely did. Boy was it windy that day, but we made it back just fine. Too bad I didn't know about your sheller. Oh well, I am not complaining - this one works!
I am looking for either a White 1210 corn sheller or a MM 1210 corn sheller. I have a White 1210 with hydraulic drag, but it is getting to the point I need to rebuild it or find a new one. If you know of anyone that has one for sale send them my way. Thanks Much
I placed an add in the Alabama Farmers and Consumers Bulletin in the WTB section. I asked for a PTO sheller. I got several calls and bought this one from a guy about 2 hours away for $100.00. Used it to shell about 1000# of corn the other day in less than 10 minutes. Maybe put an add in your states bulletin:
